When he returned home, his family obviously wanted details, how it went, if they said something or, more importantly, if they did something. As much as he loved his father and his cousin, he believed it was personal he refused to tell anything. But that was enough for them to guess, that and the blush on his face still quite there. Keann, however, didn't want to talk about it. He felt awfully stupid to almost have fallen to the ground in front of her for a kiss. What would she be thinking of him now!?
Jossian later had a discussion with him. All this turning around her without doing anything was no good, he claimed. His son had to muster up the guts to admit his feelings once and for all. The fact she was always nice to him, leaving her shop to have diner with them when they warned her at the last minute, the fact she was always smiling and that she kissed him... it was all proofs she liked him. She made the first step, now it was his turn to make one.
Even if his father's words rang true, Keann couldn't help but wonder. Did it really mean she liked him? That way? And even if he managed to come to her and tell her how he felt, how was he supposed to do so? He couldn't just come to her shop, ask if she had a minute and tell her 'I love you' before leaving back to his business. And words had never been an ally to Keann. His father came to the rescue and proposed flowers. Keann doubted it. He never really saw Arien with flowers, he had no idea which one was her favorite. But Jossian argued that no woman were insensitive in front of a nice bouquet.
Because of this, Keann closed a little earlier today. It was managed that he'd come to pick Laurë at her shop, which would give him an excuse to drop by and give her some flowers. He wasn't so keen about it, after all, Laurë would be there and he preferred not. If she was to grin at his dismay.. he might as well be able to run the other way. That girl was evil, honest! It took him an awful long time to pick the right flowers. He didn't know which one she'd like and tried to pick some that would fit in her shop since he never saw her apartment. When he was somewhat satisfied, he went to Arien's dress shop. He entered, clearing his throat and calling out for the two girls.

Today at her shop it had been rather calm, people came here and there but no one really came for a major order. Laurë was cleaning the shop and doing a good job at it; she had never seen it as clean as this. No more dust on dresses, neither there had on the ground. Once her apprentice would be done, she would maybe show her how to fix a few things on a dress; this could turn out to be handy too. Of course, she always asked Laurë if she would be fine with more work and the girl seemed to be always enthusiastic.
Now that the day was over, she dismissed Laurë so she could prepare herself. She went back store to hang the dress she had been killing herself at work with; it was rather beautiful though. Sure there still had missing pieces but details were slowly coming out and she was sure it could turn out into one of her most beautiful dresses.
She smiled to herself but as soon as she heard Keann’s voice, her head popped out of her back store. Laurë was already there grinning at her cousin as she noticed the flowers. On the other hand, Arien arched an eyebrow as Keann seemed to be even shier than usual. Not to add that he seemed to be hiding something behind his back..
“Hey Keann, how are you?” She asked him deciding not to hurry him.

Keann felt a blush tainting his cheeks when laurë saw the flowers. It was during those times that he disliked having the girl at home. She enjoyed too much having fun f his shyness and his feelings regarding Arien. He didn't want her around. It was nerve-wracking enough like this, he didn't need her watching everything.
He startled a little when he heard Arien's voice. He was so focused in trying to kick laurë out of the shop without sounding too cruel that he forgot she was there. He licked his lips as he gulped down with difficulty. On the way to her shop, he rehearsed a few things to say but now that he was there, he forgot it all. He stammered something incoherent as he tried to find the words. He kept looking at Laurë hopign she'd get the message and not be a pain preferring to stay instead of leaving. He knew tat seeing him in that situation might amuse her too much to understand he wanted to be alone here.
He cleared his throat, still uneasy and troubled by it all. "I'm good, I'm good. I... I just came to pick laurë." he said with a soft voice. "And ... hum..." he said as he pulled out the bouquet. But as he looked a tthe flowers, he just didn't know what to say and just blushed more for makign such a fool of himself instead of just handing it to her and give her an explanation.

Laurë giggled knowing that Keann wanted to be alone with her. She tried staying there (only in a teasing manner of course) but once Arien came in, Laurë claimed that she would get some air outside. Though, she stayed just long enough to watch Keann give the bouquet to Arien and smirk at her cousin. She didn’t say that she would give glimpses to the window of the door so she could see what was going on.
Arien tilted her head curiously at Keann, smiling softly and nodding as he told her that he was there only to pick up Laurë but somehow, she knew that there had something else. Not only because he seemed to be hiding something but also because of how he was acting around her. The more he stuttered, the more he had something to tell her. After knowing the man for so long, she started knowing him well.
However, as he pulled out the bouquet, Arien was at first, surprised by his gesture for it was one of the first times that he gave her something and then, he was the only one who ever thought of offering her flowers. She smiled at that. Of course, some other customers would try and flirt with her sometimes but she was so busy with work that she barely noticed their flirts when it happened. She soon smiled at him and grabbed the bouquet. “Why thank you!” She mused happily and grabbed the bouquet to smell the flowers. “It is a lovely bouquet.” She stated. “Is there any reason to it?” she asked him.

Keann was quite relieved when laurë finally left, pretexting she needed some fresh air. He didn't care what reason she came out with, he just wanted her out. It already took a lot of weight off his shoulders. His back at the door, he was unable to see her still looking at them two. A good thing, otherwise he'd be even more nervous.
He sighed of relief when Arien smiled and said the bouquet was nice - lovely was her word! At elast she liked it. He had no idea if she would have. After all, she wasn't always very feminine. She was talking abck pretty easily, could drink more than him before passing out, and wasn't afraid to step on people when they were annoying. She was more blunt, extrovert and, let,s say it, kickass than most women and definitely more than him. And she had rather simple tastes. For all those reasons, he wasn't certain she'd like the flowers. To know she did calmed him some.
He took a deep breath when she asked him why. Of course she'd ask him that. He was sometimes giving her food, sometimes a cream for her hands when they were sore, he gave her a necklace for the ball but he never brought flowers. It sure needed an explanation. "It's, hum... well, it was very nice of you for joinign us to diner last night. And..." he began to say very softly and even more slowly, stopping as he felt a blush coming even more on his face. He lowered his head, biting his lip one moment. "Hum... it was... very pleasant."

Arien was still holding the bouquet as Keann explained her reasons of why she nodded thinking that Jossian must be behind it all. She didn’t mind it much thought for she was pleased that it had got Keann to come and visit her again. “Aw, it was very pleasant indeed.” She agreed with him. It was one of the few times where she could not be alone and have the feeling of being with a family for hers was out of town and quite far away.
She remembered last time that Keann came; everyone seemed to be pleased by him. Sure her brother liked teasing him but she knew that they all adopted him somehow. Not to add that her mother told them to come back whenever they felt like doing so.
After those words though, she went back store to get a vase where she could put the flower in, once she found it she put some water in it and placed the bouquet neatly. She came back holding it and placed it on one of her counters and gazed at it once it was done. “It sure makes the shop look prettier!” She exclaimed with a large smile. “This was really sweet of you Keann.” She told him.

Keann looked at Arien as she left to the back of the store. She came back shortly with a vase, the bouquet in it. In the meantime, he didn't move. He sitll remaiend quite still as she placed it on a counter and exclaimed it looked very nice. He couldn't help but to smile as she was gazing at him with a large grin herself. He could still feel a certain blush on his face, the warmth of it was still present. He wondered if he would ever manage to control himself, at least in front of her. But he knew the answer was no.
He smiled a little more as she thanked him and lowered his head, feeling somewhat embarrassed. Not that he didn't appreciate to be thanked but because she was so happy, just like his father said. He wondered if she got the message with the flowers. Maybe not, maybe she thought he was just being nice. His heart started to beat faster and he made efforts to calm it.
"I... I didn't know which one you liked so I picked a few." he said. He immediately felt stupid for saying such thing, but it was done. He hoped she wouldn't find it too funny. He was so ridiculous.

Arien simled at him still as he explained her the situation. It was true that she never mentioned how she liked flowers. They happened to be one of her soft spots and Keann found it out without even asking her such a question. She sure looked like a strong woman and was one indeed but never really spoke of her actually tastes such as flowers.
“I’m not picky with flowers; actually I like most of them.” She told him as she approached him to give him a peck on the cheek. She hoped he wouldn’t be all phased by her gestures; it was her special way to thank him. He was more than a friend to her after all.”Was there anything else you wished to share with me?” She then asked since there still seemed to have something on his mind.
She backed away from him a little to give him more space and looked at him.

He startled a little bit when he got a kiss from her. Sure, tiw as on teh cheek, but she had never been kissing him as much as she was as of alte. Come to think of it, she never really kissed him ever before. She knew just hugging him was makign him blush way too much, so a kiss...
He felt nervous when she asked if there was anything else. There was, but he had no idea how to put it. If she was just half as open as she was, perhaps it would have been easier. But he was himself and talking had never been easy for him.
He licked his lips once again in a nervous gesture. "I just... well...I, hum...." he stuttered, absolutely unable to speak just one of the many things he had on his mind. "What, what exactly happened at the ball?" he finally said. He closed his eyes calling himself an idiot inside. He could have said he liked her, but no, he had to come out with this. Pathetic.

Arien couldn’t help but smirk as he questioned her once again about the ball. It was normal he was worried about it; he must not remember a thing. No matter how much she would like to keep it as a secret, she knew that he would be tormented by this days and nights if it wasn’t already the case. She didn’t want to be the cause of such torments of his especially with something like that. It could as well spoil the relationship they were having right now.
“Oh nothing to worry about, you said that I was yours to a man who was flirting with me. I have never seen you like this before but it was quite adorable to see you act like this considering that you are always so shy.” She mused with a small laugh. She couldn’t hide that it surprised her a lot, though, not to the point of shocking her when he told her that. “The man punched you and I wasn’t very pleased by that.”
She explained him what had truly happened, it’s not like he should worry about that besides, she never heard of the man after the ball. What was his name? She didn’t even remember. All she hoped was that he would forget about it and move on.

Keann was glad she finally accepted to tell him what happened at the ball. He feared to have amde quite a fool of himself. She sad it was nothing to worry about but when she explaiend to him, he wanted to pass out. Nothing to worry about! He claimed Arien as hers in front of another man, he got punched in the face - well that sure explained the pain the next day.
He never felt so hot of his life. He probably was more red than a boiled lobster right now. He said Arien was his! And she found it adorable! He didn't know if he should rejoice or panic. "A-a-a..dorable?" he whispered the question. He wasn't exactly seeing where was teh adorable part in going completely drunk in front of a guy and say that he should go flirt with another girl because this one was his. Especially if the result was a punch in the face.
He sighed, hiding his face with his hand. "I really made a fool of himself." he whispered in another sigh, very softly, more to himself than her. He wasn't acting like that usually, but that he didn't need to tell her, she knew.

Arien wasn’t one to make big deals of situation such as what happened at the ball after all, anyone could’ve done something like this. Keann might not considered as easily as she did, knowing of his shy personality, it was only natural for him to worry about something like that. That is why it was going to be her part of the job to make him feel better and just to forget about it. Maybe it was going to be a long task but she figured out it was going to be worth it in the end if it was to help him and make him feel better over himself.
She chuckled at his reaction still and smiled softly as he questioned her about her words; for she said that he was adorable back then. Sure, maybe he was tormented by the fact that he might’ve looked like a fool in front of some random man but this gesture of him was oddly refreshing.
She shook her head as he said that he made a fool of himself. “This happens to any man Keann, you don’t need to worry about it. Besides, you haven’t done anything outrageous.” She said trying to reassure him.

Arien tried to reassure him, saying it was alright, that anyone could have done it, that it was no big deal and caused him no problems. But there was a deal and there was a problem. He claimed her, meaning he more or less admitted his feeligns for her in front of a lot of people. And he was too drunk to remember! That was the real deal, the fact that it needed him to drink to be able to say how he felt about his friend.
Now the question was, why did she think it was no big deal. Did she just find it cute that his shy friend finally stood up, maybe not for himself, but for someone at least. He found it hard to believe she might share his feelings even though Jossian told him it might be so and the fact she said it was adorable and that he shouldn't worry about it all was another reason to think she might.
"I still said to everyone that you were mine." he pointed out, his head still low, staring at his feet. How was she with the idea of being his? No, she'd never be his, she'd always be free. With him, then? Yeah, how she felt about being with him?

Arien smiled softly at what Keann told her. Sure he said that she was his but honestly, she didn’t have any trouble with that. After all, she did have feelings for him but perhaps, she didn’t make it clear enough for him. Looks like she had to be clearer towards him and she was about to do so. The flowers were a lovely gesture; was it a sign?
She approached him seeing that he was closing himself, watching him lowering his head didn’t help. It must’ve killed him to do something as bold as this. It was going to be her part to make him feel comfortable about it.
“Keann..” She said softly as she went to reach his hands to hold them in hers. “Do you want me to be with you?” Okay, maybe it wasn’t going to help him but she wanted to make sure that she wasn’t assuming something that was completely wrong.

Keann didn't make a move as she grabbed his hands. She was doing this from time to time. When she wanted him to look at her, when she decided to go somewhere and he had to accompany her, if he prick his finger no one of her needles... There was really nothing weird in her doing so. Sure, it affected him all the time. He always felt his hands were not soft enough to touch hers and to have this contact was somehow fastening the beat of his heart. But he was getting used to it. What she said though, he was not.
When she asked him if he wanted her to be with him, he startled. He could feel his hands slowly getting wet and took them away from her grasp before she could feel it. His breath caught up in his chest as he stuttered something incoherent. The blush on his cheeks was burning him. How could a simple yes be so hard to say!? He wanted it more than everything but was unable to muster up the guts to admit it to her.
Keann was unable to speak and the sitation was getting embarrassing. He wanted to go away. And then what? Hide himself in hsi house forever? He knew that was not possible. "I, i i...." He sighed heavily as he kept stuttering. "I didn't want it to come out like that." he said, keeping hsi head lowered. No, he sure didn't want him to admit he wanted her with him when drunk and in front of everyone.
