Arien closed the door of the shop, this time; she was the one taking Laurë to her Keann’s house. She wasn’t aware that the teenager and Jossian had been plotting another meeting between the two considering that she had almost kissed Keann. Laurë didn’t say much, she seemed to be trouble by something since the past few days. She never asked why thinking that it wasn’t of her business. Luckily they weren’t far from one and another so in about ten minutes, she arrived, her cousin announced their arrival.
“Arien and I are here Jossian, Keann!” Laurë said. Jossian arrived, giving a wink to his niece; of course, Arien didn’t notice any of this. The man greeted her and started a conversation about how well her shop was going and how she was doing. It had been a while since they both had talked to each other. Jossian told her that Keann had been working on a new order; goblets it was.
Laurë on the other hand went to see Keann, knowing now where he used to work and knocked on his door. “Keann, your girlfriend is there.” She said teasingly knowing it would make him react. Just to see him panic some more she decided to add something else. “Jossian invited her to eat diner with us.” Which was the truth, but of course, everything had been planned in their back. Luckily, Arien accepted the last minute offer.
The girl then left to prepare herself and helped Jossian as they were setting everything to be ready for everyone. They were both certain that it would get the two unsuspecting lovebirds to bond.

Keann had no idea what had been plotted behind his back. Had he known anything about this, he probably would have ran away a long time ago. It was easy for both his father and cousin to scheme this, considering he was working all the time. Quite a few goblets had been finished but the noble man kept pushing him. He tried to explain that the work he asked him needed time if he wanted every details perfectly made. Plus he received other commissions, more urgent, that he was forced to do first hand. Still, he sent him those he made, a little more than ten, which was rather good. He made more than a fourth of the commission in so little time, he should be praised not pestered. But nobles were never seeing things that way. When they were asking for something, they often expected it to be ready in an hour. Even when it was impossible. And Keann was not one to reply to them, he was sucking it up and working harder. He bet he looked a little more tired than usual thanks to this.
He thought hearing's Laurë voice as she entered. It was a habit of her, to announce herself. Especially since Jossian was often in their apartment preparing the meal while he was in the backstore working. He didn't clearly hear what she said though, but then again, he simply believed she only mentioned she was home. She entered the room where he was. Luckily for him, he raised his tools from the goblets and looked at her when she said Arien was here, or more than his girlfriend was here. He startled at the way she described her. "I-i-i... she's... she's not my girlfriend." he managed to stutter, clearly taken out of balance with this comment.
But Laurë added more, claiming she would have diner with them. "What?" he exclaimed, a bright red blush tainting his cheeks at the thought of it. She of course didn't say anything else as she left to help his father with the table. Keann gulped down with difficulty. He told no one about the almost kiss he received from her, but it sure affected him. The entire night, he felt he could feel her lips again and it prevented him from sleeping for quite some time.He brushed his hands against his pants and got up, walking slowly into the shop where Arien still was. He gulped again as he advanced in her direction. "I.. hum, I had no idea you were coming." he told her.

Laurë smirked and giggled lightly at Keann’s reaction; it was simply priceless! Seeing his dark blush was quite impressive as well. She grinned at him before leaving to help Jossian with the table and chatted to Arien at the same time. Laurë found herself liking the woman a lot; she liked the fact that she didn’t let other step on her feet and how she wasn’t afraid to talk back to anyone, no matter who they were. Except maybe that she was being more polite with royalty whom her market was mainly all about whenever they decided to be a pain in the neck.
Arien on the other hand, stood there, talking to both Jossian and Laurë; it had been a long time since the last time she had came to the shop and paid a friendly visit to the man as well as to Keann. Sure, Jossian came once in a while just to say hello and have a small chat but rare were the times where she was with them like that. She could barely remember last time she had taken a break hanging out with them all. It was sort of refreshing and pleasant to know that she was able to do this for once.
She soon spotted Keann as he entered in the room and smiled at his comment. “I actually had no ideas either.” She said with a light laugh, Jossian winked playfully at her and Laurë giggled lightly, mainly at her cousin’s reactions. He was just so easy to tease but still so entertaining no matter what he did. Once the table was set, Arien joined them by the counter, having a stool out for her to sit on, she gladly took the spot, next to her apprentice. “How is the shop going?” She questioned to both Jossian and Keann to appease the situation.

Arien laughed, saying she didn't know she was invited home for diner either. Keann frowned and looked quickly at both his father and cousin. His wink and her laugh explained it all. They planned it! Keann was a little mad about that fact, he didn't like his father playing him tricks like this. And his cousin was making too much fun at his expense. The two together, it was not what Keann would call a good combo, at least for him. He knew why his father was doing this. It wasn't mean at all, he wanted to help his son, there was love behind the gesture. Laurë, he wasn't so sure. He felt she was doing this more to have fun at his expense than to help him out.
Still, now it was too late to simply say no to them, they forced it on him. And he would never dare ask Arien to leave. Even if he was still uneasy about her, well more than usual, he appreciated her company and never would hurt her by kicking her out, no matter how nicely he'd put it.
As he was to sit at the table, of course, they made sure he'd sit next to her. He blushed some more and took the seat. They really had planned everything, those two. He blushed some more as he drank from his cup when she asked how the shop was going. He replaced the cup on the table before answering. "Well, well. An-and yours?"

Arien smiled at Keann once he sat next to her, she of course, being completely clueless to what was happening behind their back. However, she still had the intention to spend some time along with them for once she could do so she would certainly not go back on her words. It felt weird though at the same time not to be in her shop working on any gowns that she had made recently but she wasn’t in a rush at the moment and with all the time she had given into her previous dresses it even appeared that she had some free time that she could allowed to have.
Not to add that Laurë seemed to be worrying to the hours that she was spending in the shop, even after close. She was sure that Keann wouldn’t like the idea that she had spent a whole night on a dress during this week but now that the work was done, she was giving herself some free time to get some rest and meet up with friends.
She nodded as he answered to her question and returned her the favour. “Pretty good actually, I have a new order from a noble to make a wedding dress.” She told them. Laurë, of course was already aware of this.

"Oh." was the only sound that escaped his lips when she told him the news of a noble wedding. He received no order for a wedding ring, but he didn't mind. He was not jealous of her work one bit. He was in fact, happy for her. That usually brought in good money for people like them. Plus, he was more than busy with the engraved goblets for now.
Laurë didn't tell them of such a commission, or if she did, he didn't lsiten. Then again, he didn't mind she was not talking to him. He let his cousin have her privacy. He had never been the kind to force peopel to do or tell him things. His father arrived with the meal. Keann watned to him help but he said he was able. Today, his wrists weren't hurting so much. So Keann sat back down, thinking that even if his wrists did hurt him, he probably would have forced hsi son to stay with Arien.
"That must takes a lot of your time though." he said to Arien, referring to the wedding dress. He knew the girl for being able to work to the point of forgetting to eat and collapse on the ground thanks to it. He sure hoped Laurë was of good help to her.

Arien nodded at Keann’s comment. Of course it took a lot of time but luckily for her Laurë was there to remind her that she still needed to take breaks and eat. The two cousins probably didn’t look alike much but still, she could notice a few things that looked alike in both of their personalities. She didn’t mind though the time it could take her to finish a dress. She loved her job, more than anything, except maybe Keann.
Being a dressmaker was her passion and she was glad that she was succeeding enough to do this as a living. She knew that she wasn’t the only one in town but there had so many people, that there didn’t have much competition between her ‘co-workers’. However, Arien had more of the noble population while others had people who didn’t have much money to offer themselves a gown as pretty as nobles could do. Sure, Arien did dresses for the population but it didn’t affect anyone. She loved not to have any competition because she knew that it would cause some trouble.
“It does but I still managed to take a break today.” She said with a smile. She knew that she would her of him, if she didn’t.

Keann had a timid smile when she said she managed to get a break. He was glad of t, though still a little uneasy being close to her with both his father and his cousin there. It wasn't the first time they were eating together, but usually he was bringing in some food he bought and they were eating in her shop. Now it had something more official to it. Perhaps it was what made him nervous. He never understood how he could be this nervous around people when, while working and selling his jewels, he showed no sign of stutter or stress at all. Weird disposition.
Keann was almost glad when the diner was served since like this he had an excuse to remain silent. Every now and then, he stared at his father or Laurë. He wondered what else they could come out with. He knew his father would probably not bring the matter of the ball, knowing it was a touchy subject for his son, but Keann couldn't help thinking about it and what he might have said or done. Was the hand flying to hit or help? Did he say anything to the knight or did he fell down before due to the excess of alcohol? If there was one thing Keann was good, besides his job, it was to overpanic.
Jossian did the conversation, talking of everything and nothing, the weather, the price of food, the attacks of the orcs, rumors among nobles... Keann on the other hand, remained much quiet, nodding here, agreeing there.

Arien smiled as the diner was now served. She ate along with everyone, listened to Jossian’s as he made the conversation on the table; everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Keann seemed to be as nervous as usual but she really was used to this for he had always been like this around her. At first she used to think that she was intimidating in some way but as she grew with affection for him she wasn’t bothered by his stutters and shyness.
She answered to Jossian whenever he spoke to her and even started a few subjects of conversation. It was very pleasant to be with them all. Even Laurë expressed herself on a few subjects. It looked like the young woman had adapted herself quickly to the town, which was a good thing.
She smiled a few times at Keann, wanting not to make him be so shy. She wished he could speak more at the table but she assumed that pushing him to do so would only aggravate things and she didn’t want this to happen. So she decided to just go along with the flow until the meal was over, Jossian and Laurë were the one undoing the table while she and Keann were left alone to talk. She stared down at his hands, knowing that from time to time they hurt. “How are your hands doing today?” She asked him.

Keann let his father take the dishes. Laurë decided to help and sohe thought three bringing out plates and remaisn of food would simply be in each other's way. Besides, he bet it was part of their plan. Arien didn't know his father much. She was living on her own, without people telling her what she should do in her personal life. But Keann had his father pushing him to g talk to this one or accept a commission or, in this case, to be alone with the woman of his dreams. The man obviously never was as shy as his son.
Lost in his thoughts, he was taking a little by surprise when she talked. It took a moment for him to understand that not only she talked to him but of what she talked too. He looked down at his hands, moving the fingers, forming a fist and releasing. "Fine, I haven't worked too hard." he said. His hands were hurting sometimes, mostly for holding his tools and staying in the same position. It was more a stiffness, but it was still painful sometimes. Occupational hazzard.
He gulped down two or three times, trying to find something to say. He never was good abotu socializing. "How-how's Laurë, is she... is she helping you well?" he finally asked her.

Arien smiled watching Keann as he looked thoughtful about things. She didn’t push him to know what it was about. She grew used with all the time that she had spent with him it was now normal for her to see him like that. Soon he examined his hands to see if they hurt and she nodded as he told her that they were fine. Good, that’s all she needed to know. She knew that he was carrying over her not doing too much work but she gave the same attentions back; she didn’t want him to kill his wrists at work. It would be horrible for when he will be older.
“I am glad to hear.” She replied with a simple nod but then grinned as he questioned her about her new assistant, Laurë. At first she found it weird of course, to have someone to do other things while she was working on her gowns but soon she found it being an advantage to her and her shop. She didn’t have to spend as much extra hours as she needed to before because she was alone and the young girl was quite a hard worker; she knew she could count on her.
“Things are going extremely well, I couldn’t ask for a better apprentice!” She exclaimed happily. “I have more time for myself and can take more breaks, she is doing a great job!” she added with a happy smile. “Thank you for suggesting her to me!” She finished giving him a quick peck on the cheek.

Keann smiled softly as Arien's face lit up when they mentioned Laurë. Apparently, his cousin really was of help. He sure hoped so, otherwise he would have felt so bad toward Arien. He more or less forced his cousin on her, it was logical he was nervous abotu how good she was doing. He didn't want Arien to keep her because he was the one that suggested her. He didn't know exactly what was Laurë's role, but even if all she was doing was to prepare the dresses to be brought to the client and wipe the floor, that still was great help, one thing Arien wouldn't have to think about. And when you were alone working at your shop, you sure had tons of things to think... the budget, the restocking, the making, the talking to the clients and the publicity you had to make in order to attract more... it may not look like it, but just having to stop focusing on one or two or those matters was taking a lot off your shoulders.
His face turned red as she pecked him, thanking him once more for bringing Laurë to her. He hoped no one noticed, not the blush, but the kiss. Especially Laurë, who would surely tease him about it for an awfully long time if she did. "A-actually... hum... it's my uncle who thought she should work and suggested your shop. I-i.... I only brought her to see you and the shop." he said, trying to pass over the surprise of receiving a kiss from Arien.

Arien grinned and giggled silently watching Keann’s reaction over to her kiss. It was all in a friendly matter of course but considering how close they usually were everyone assumed they were more. She didn’t think that Keann had such feelings for her though. Since she grew used to his shy manners, she assumed that it was only because of this that he blushed often and not any other reason was obviously possible. She didn’t mind to remain just friends; he was an amazing one and hopefully she wasn’t the only one to know how great this man could be no matter how shy he could get around her.
“It was still a wonderful idea.” She told him with a nod. She chuckled still keeping an eye on Keann. Perhaps last time she had crossed boundaries while almost kissing him. She did notice that he was shyer than usual; she didn’t remember last time he had stuttered. “Did I go too far last time?” She finally asked him, arching an eyebrow.

Keann startled a little when she talked of last time they were together. She nearly kissed him. Even after returning home, he could still feel the taste of her lips, the warmth of her breath. At the thought of it, he blushed some more and eyed quickly in the direction of his father, hoping he could not hear. Not like she said they kissed, but he felt like the man might just be able to read right through him and see why his son was so shy. He did manage to tell, before anyone, that he had feelings for the girl. Then again, considering he was rarely so nice to someone, especially without them asking his help out first, it was quite a logical theory to assume he liked her.
He felt a little uneasy remembering the scene, perhaps because his family was there and could listen to their conversation. It was a private matter. He also wasn’t sure what he could tell her. He sure didn’t believe she crossed the line there, even if she caught him by surprise. His heart skipped a beat when she did. But he had no idea if she did it in a friendly gesture. Or maybe she was regretting it and wished he was no getting the wrong idea. Perhaps she didn’t like him this way. “I... don’t worry about it.” He whispered back. He had a lack of words. But one thing for sure, he didn’t want her to feel bad about it. If that was to break his heart, he was ready for it. Anything, to make her happy.

Arien looked at him curiously, unsure of what she was supposed to do then sure he looked somehow shaken at this and such but heh, she figured it still was in his nature to be as shy as he was at the moment. She didn’t question him more knowing that his family was around and that it might just get him even more uncomfortable it would make things worse than what they already seemed to be like; somehow bad.
She barely could hear his whispers. Should she feel bad about it now? Not that she did, she just wanted to make sure that he was fine with this and that nothing went the wrong way. She didn’t want to lose him as a friend after all. She smiled a little as she decided to grab both of his hands in hers. “You don’t need to be so shy around me.” She mused as the smile grew larger.
Laurë was with her uncle. She wasn’t able not to look at them two. It was funny to watch her cousin act around the woman he loved. She giggled silently while returning to the conversation she had with her uncle.
