The Man
ride on, through the night, ride on
Faeldor is the Stable Master of the Citadel Stables in Minas Tirith.
He likes to think of himself as other things as well; primarily, a manly man, a horse tamer, a minstrel and musician, a charming dancer, a good brother and son, an excellent kisser and protector, and a calmer of any situation that his family gets in.
He does not like to think of himself as a man with a large and uncontrollable temper, a lusty drunkard, a softy, or one who is not capable of calming, handling, and protecting people from every situation.
In truth, he is all of these things.
Family Life
your lamps will call me home
Meleth~:~Mother
Faeldor is a mama's boy. He loves his mama, and his mama loves him. She dotes on her oldest child, and taught him all sorts of things; from swimming, to how to treat a lady. She bakes him yummy cinnamon rolls. He takes care of her in return. She is currently attempting to plan his life, and most likely, secretly making baby clothes for his future children.
Miriel~:~Precious Gem
Miriel is the oldest of Faeldor's little siblings. She uses that to her advantage, and tries to take charge of everyone and everything. He loves her even though she is rude, forceful, and wants to control his life. He's kind of mad at her right now because she beat up his lover, and is sleeping with his arch enemy. Not to mention she keeps encouraging the girl that lives down the road to try and seduce him.
Narbeleth~:~Firelight
Beleth is an interesting, fiery young woman, and the sister that Faeldor is closest to. Sometimes he thinks she is tougher than him, but he doesn't really want anyone to find out, since he is the oldest, and a man, afterall. She seems to always know what is best for people, and make sure it happens. She is a bit controlling, like Miriel, but in a better way. Usually her plans don't end in the destruction of her siblings. She takes care of him.
Marileth~:~Songbird
Marileth is Faeldor's little songbird. She sings and plays music like an angel, and no doubt she is as pretty as one as well. She is perhaps the only well behaved child of the family, and has always respected authority. Though, sometimes she does whine or get upset, she doesn't talk back. Faeldor is a bit worried that she will turn out like her older sister Miriel, simply because they are both so pretty, so he pays extra attention to her to try and keep her on the right track.
Faelon~:~Little Brother
Faelon is Faeldor's only brother. They are not too close, as they are quite a few years apart in age; he is more of a father figure to him. Faelon gets himself into amusing situations and is quite the trouble maker. In truth, he acts exactly the same way Faeldor acted at his age. The little boy also has trouble remembering to wear his clothes, and often gets lectured for this; though the lectures don't help him remember any. He likes to be free.
Haliel~:~Little Flower
Haliel is Faeldor's littlest sibling. She is adorable and leads the man around by the tip of her little finger. She cries a lot, and whines a lot, and he falls for all of it. She is crippled, so Faeldor dotes on her more than the others, and will make sure she always has a place, either in his mother's home, or someday his own.
Diore~:~Beloved
Diore is a young child recently taken under wing by Faeldor's mother. He was quite upset that she would take in more children with her already vast multitude of raising to do; yet, when he laid eyes on the little girl his heart was utterly stolen. He named her Diore, and though she is of Rohirric blood, he will raise her up to be a true Gondorian lady, and Shield Maiden in disguise.
Eoric~:~Little Horse Lord
Eoric is quite the charmer at his two years of age. Brother to Diore, Faeldor will teach him well in the ways of horses. When he meets the army of Rohan someday, nobody will be able to tell that he has been raised in the White City, for his knowledge of horses will be great and powerful.
Beloved
all for the love of you
Gilwen~:~Starlight
Faeldor met Gilwen in the palace one day, and thought she looked a bit small and hungry, so he gave her a cinnamon roll. He found out she liked horses, and decided to take her for a little ride. He decided that he loved her once he found out that he would not be robbing the cradle, because even though she might look ten years old, she is near the same age as him. He named her Starlight because of her true name, and because she looked all sparkly when the moon shone on her. Faeldor knows that she gets weak at the knees when he calls her such, and also when he kisses her, so he makes a point to do both often.
She is quite cute, and shy. She likes to cuddle and nuzzle a lot, which Fael, being a softy, enjoys. He also likes the fact that she is short enough for him to rest his chin on her head, and little enough to sit on his lap for a long time without his legs falling asleep.
Gilwen kind of reminds Faeldor of a turtle; because she is little, doesn't really make a sound, likes to lay in the sun, and hides in her shell. She also has scaly hands from her work, though, he is okay with that and loves his little turtle anyway.
Faeldor thinks she looks pretty in her undergarments, but she would hit him if he said that out loud often.
Someday he'll ask her to marry him.
The Adversaries
when darkness lays her crimson cloak
Rosiel~The Promiscuous Wench
Rosiel is an obnoxious woman that Faeldor finds atrocious. She is the daughter of his mother's friend, and a confidante to his sister, Miriel. The woman is entirely infatuated with him and will not take "no" for an answer, even after Faeldor dumped a glass of wine on her, knocked her out of a chair, and refused her seductive attempts. She is more of an annoyance than a threat, and he avoids her at all costs.
Durion~The Wussy Girly Boy
Durion has been loathed by the Stable Master since their youth, and lo and behold, now they have ended up working together. When they were children, the two were in many fights, and as adults, they will surely be confrontational again. The man has offended him in three unforgivable ways; He insulted his lover; He deceived his sister; and perhaps the worst of all, He abused his horses.
