Laurë smiled as she arrived at the gates of the large town Minas Tirith. She had made her decision; she wanted to see more. She wanted to find a reason to live and she knew that it had to be out there somehow. Ever since she started recovering of her loss and the events that occurred in her hometown she began thinking about leaving. Her reasons were still vague to the others, she didn’t say much except for that she wanted to see more things and had a taste for adventure.
Of course, Jossian tried here and there to make her change her mind mainly because she was still young but she knew that somehow, for now this wasn’t going to be her home. She wasn’t ready to settle down. She didn’t even know who she was and she wanted to find that part of herself before returning here. Sorsha knew bits of her reason. The last talk she had with Aldamir, saying that she didn’t see that others were there for her did shake her a bit but it wasn’t the main reason of why she left.
She turned around so her back was now facing the gates; everyone was there, Keann, Arien, Jossian and Sorsha. She took a deep breath as she looked them all while settling her cape. Jossian asked her once again if she was certain she wanted to leave. She nodded. For how long? She didn’t know. Only time would tell.
“I wanted to thank you all for coming with me to the gates. I promise I’ll write you a letter as soon and as often as I can.” she stated with a small smile. It was odd how the departure was going to be hard. Her only family remained here in this town and she was leaving them in hope to find a better word and find her reason for leaving.
She grabbed her bag and placed it on her shoulders; it contained anything she needed and then, grabbed her bow and arrows for protection. Sure it was scary to leave there by herself, with no escort but she knew deep down that she could make it to the next town and to the next one. It was just a matter of time.

Keann was still unable to believe it. First, he thought his cousin died, and then she survived and returned to live with them. But something was obviously broken, and not just her heart for the loss of her mother. There was something more. He had no idea what exactly happened, but one day she returned home with a determination he had not seen in her for quite some time, if not ever. She then dropped the bomb: she wanted to leave. Where? No idea. How long? No idea either. All she knew was that she wanted to leave.
Her friend Sorsha had been coming more and more home and the two girls were talking a lot together. He didn’t listen to their conversation, but her friend was pretty shaken by the news. And apparently mad at her brother, maintaining that Laurë should not be leaving town for whatever this idiot said to her. He had no idea what was going on, and so, always let them talk together without listening, since it was only confusing him more. Sorsha was here today, to tell her goodbye. She had brought with her food for the road, and a couple of other things necessary if Laurë wanted to wander around the world.
Keann was a little nervous. He was scared for his cousin, of course, and the presence of Arien was both troubling and appeasing him somehow. He stayed by her side, his fingers brushing hers from time to time. When it was finally time for her to leave, Jossian hugged her. Keann was a little uneasy about it, it was so not like him, but he hugged her too, briefly.
Sorsha jumped at the arms of her friend. “Please, tell me you don’t go because of Aldamir. I know he can be a prick, but you shouldn’t go just because of what he said. He wasn’t right, you know.” she told her, having questioned her brother about it and knowing what he said. Aldamir, was not here, Sorsha would’ve beat him up otherwise, for being the cause of all this to her point of view. “Why must you leave so far to some dangerous places? You can find yourself here too.” she said, although she knew it would not convince her friend.

Laurë smiled as she returned the tight hug to Jossian. She was to make sure he would receive her letters, same for Sorsha. They both were dear to her heart and she knew she was being selfish leaving them like that but she knew that it needed to be done. There was something in her that wasn’t satisfied and she wanted it to be done.
Once Keann came to hug her she smiled and nodded at him. She could see his nervousness and was touched that he was worried for her but she knew that she was old enough and that she could deal with whatever was there to come for her, for her future.
Arien was mostly there to support Keann who was as nervous as when she with him alone. She knew that he worried for the girl. She watched the two girls as Sorsha spoke and held Keann’s hand to reassure him, that everything would be fine. She was somehow amazed by the guts that the girl had to leave by herself. Even she who could talk back easily wouldn’t dare to leave like that.
Laurë smiled at her friend as she talked of Aldamir. “Don’t worry, I don’t go because of him; besides, if I wanted to give him hell I’d stay.” She replied playfully with a wink and a small giggle as she hugged her friend tightly. She was rather amused by her jump and smiled at the girl. “I’ll be fine. I just know it.” she replied confidently with a nod. “I promise you I’ll come back some day, when? I don’t know.” she said though.

Sorsha couldn’t help but giggle when her friend said that, in order to annoy Aldamir, she only had to stay, not leave. She had to admit that she was true. She never understood why they liked each others like cats and mice. Sure Laurë was a bit reckless, and had quite a temper and attitude, and Aldamir was too serious sometimes, but she never imagined that alone was enough for them to react this way in presence of one another. She nodded when she promised to come back. “Yeah you better. And I’ll make sure Aldamir remembers what he said to you and pay for t until your return so he can apologize.” she said. She sure didn’t like her brother right now. He had a part of responsibility in all this, she was sure. Because he told her she was selfish and not thankful to those who were helping her. She hoped that, upon her return, the two would be able to talk to each other without yelling.
Keann was waiting for Laurë to be done talking with her friend. In the meantime, he kept Arien’s hand in his. Thankfully, his hands were not all wet. Otherwise, he’d fell awfully sorry for her. Because he wanted to keep her hand in his. When he saw the two seemed to have more or less finished talking, and hugged again, he went back to his cousin. He cleared his throat as he pulled out a small bag and handed it to her. “For your travels.” he said as he gave it to her. It was money. A nice little amount he gained by working harder ever since he heard of her plan. He saved it for her. “And ... hum, so you can remember us and return home someday.” he said as he pulled out a small silver bracelet. Her name was written on it, between an entwined ivy patterns. Since she was always working at Arien’s shop, or talking with her friend Sorsha, or packing up things for her travel, she didn’t see him working on it, but he had also been doing this ever since he heard of her plan.

Laurë giggled at her friend’s words. Sure she didn’t appreciate what Aldamir had told her and of course, she would’ve liked to make him take his words back by any possible ways but for now, she didn’t want to think about it. She wanted to think about her future and what was going to happen to her when she would be out there, in the very large world and it’s danger. That kind of things would normally not appeal a woman but whenever she thought of it, she found herself being somewhat eager about it.
“Oh, I trust you on that.” She replied with a grin as she hugged her friend once again. “I can remind him so in my letters if you want too.” She said jokingly but soon, turned her attention to Keann who approached her when her friend stepped back.
She looked at him curiously wondering about what he was doing. She couldn’t hide her surprise when she gave her the bag (she of course, had to look what was in it when she looked inside). “Keann...you didn’t have to.” she said but she was even more taken aback as he showed her a beautiful bracelet that he made, just for her, with her name on it.
Her eyes widened and even were on the verge of crying. “I will always remember of you all.” She said before taking a deep breath trying to ease her emotions a bit. How come she never noticed him working on this? She pecked Keann’s cheek after she took the bracelet. “It is absolutely beautiful! I will always wear it!”
Arien smiled and approached as well, staying by Keann’s side. “You were a wonderful apprentice. I will make sure that Keann warns me when he they get a letter.” She said with a grin.
Laurë smirked as she went to hug Arien as well. “I hope you two will be married when I come back!” She mused teasingly. “Or else it won’t be worth it to leave!” She added with a wider smirk.

Keann expected that she’d try to give him back to money, or say something as to how he shouldn’t do that. “You’re gonna need it, to buy food and if something happens.” he said. He had no intention of taking it back after all. He was a little surprised when she pecked his cheek when she saw the bracelet. He was glad she liked it. He thought first to make it more beautiful, with stones and all, maybe even a necklace instead. But she’d be on the road and he didn’t want to tempt any cutthroats and bandits she might encounter.
He stepped back a little when Arien approached so they could talk face to face. All this was a weird in a way, but in the same time, it was a better farewell than the quick one they gave her when she left to see her mother. A much proper one too.
When she mentioned how they should get married before her return, he blushed bright red, his whole face burning him of embarrassment. Jossian placed a hand on his son’s shoulder as he laughed at Laurë’s boldness in her comment. “Don’t worry, I’ll see to that.” Keann blushed even more, if that was possible. The two had recently started to be together, at last. A wedding was not in their plans, well not in his. It was too soon. Plus, it had been hard enough to admit his feelings to her, he could have a break before going on to the big question. “Y-you take care.” he said to his cousin, stuttering from the shyness they caused on him. Sorsha herself laughed at what she said, although she hid it as best as she could.

Laurë grinned at Jossian’s comment. “You have to make sure and write me every detail if it happens! I don’t want to miss any of this! But I’m still happy that you managed to be together! You two are so cute!” She exclaimed happily and excitedly. She was happy for his cousin and for Arien that it finally ended up to something that was positive. They finally got together. Sure it was strange at first but these two were meant to be together. It was sad that she might not be attending their weddings.
She nodded and smiled at Keann then at Arien. “It was fun working at your shop.” she said which made Arien smiled. Of course, the woman laughed when she mentioned of a wedding. Sure it wasn’t in their plans of the moment but who knew, some day maybe they would but for now she was enjoying the time she was going to spend with him.
“Don’t worry; I’ll do my possible to take care.” She mused with a grin as she turned to Sorsha. “Girl you better find a fine man to; don’t think you’re spared from that” She said, of course, in a joking manner. She knew that Sorsha was a great girl and that she won’t have trouble to go through all of this.
“I don’t want to miss anything even if I’m not around. You’ll hardly forget about me.” She said with a wink as she chuckled. She placed her hood on her head. She knew that this was going to be a fun journey. Nothing negative was to come out of this. No matter how long it would take for her to come back.

Keann was highly embarrassed to see his father and Laurë talk of his wedding. He just managed to finally tell her hsi feelings, couldn't they give him a break a minute!? They should be happy for them instead of planning their future already. He ddn't even think of wedding et and they were talking of it. Had he been less shy about it, he would have understood it was more a joke then actually a wish for them to marry now, but he was himself, and he was too nervous about it and surprised to realize this.
Keann looked at Arien a moment, since she laughed at it. He hoped she wasn't wishing for him to propose already. He never had been good at deciphering people's feeligns and so had no idea what she was thinking. But he assumed she was, for now, more focused on his cousin than their life together.
Sorsha smirked when her friend mentioned she should find a man. "Oh, don't you worry about that." she said, trying to be as happy as Laurë could be, even if she was sad to see her leave. Sad and worried. For she was leaving alone. And even if she heard of her talents with a bow, it was no place for a woman alone. "Yeah, you better write. Don't become a stranger." she replied as Laurë placed the hood on her head. She knew ti was time to say goodbye.
