Laurë hadn’t been on a good mood recently, thanks to that jerk Aldamir who hadn’t been of pleasant company last time he had to take her home. If she would’ve known how horribly it ended up she would’ve simply been out there by herself, even to his mother’s complains. However, today she wasn’t there to think about him or work. She had a day off and she was willing to enjoy it to the most. Aldamir’s friend had caught her for a chat here and there whenever he saw her; the guy was surely more pleasant than the person she didn’t want to hear of. They talked about everything and nothing to end up talking about archery; a strange subject that came from a lady.
Laurë didn’t care much about it though, she was enjoying herself and what she knew was that he told her about a good spot to practice with targets and stuff. Of course, the man didn’t pass on the occasion of having what was close to be a date. She agreed on following him when he was off duty to the said spot, he had a bow and arrows in hands and waved at her as she arrived. She grinned returning the gesture and joined him. She missed this sport so much, she was glad that she could enjoy it in good company.
Other men were training there but she didn’t really mind them. Aldamir’s friend gave her the bow and a few arrows, as he challenged her to get five targets in a row, not moving from where she was. She smirked as she prepared herself. Within a few seconds, the targets were shot one after another to surprise quite a few men.

Aldamir arrived for his training session that he heard a certain commotion. Not the ordinary one of swords hitting each other and men talking to one another as they were taking a break and eating. He frowned and walked towards it. As he approached he heard some comments such as 'How can a girl be this good!?' Now he was intrigued, for he knew there were no women within the guard corps. True, you didn't exactly had to be a member of the guard to come here, but very rare were those who decided to practice with them, mostly because they were the trained ones while they were not.
Coming closer, he noticed one of his friend, praising someone, but the silhouette was still hidden to him. He joined them and soon realized it was none other than Laurë. He raised his eyebrows in surprise but his sigh was more annoyed than anything else. "Look what she's done!" his friend said when he noticed him, waving at the targets. Aldamir took a quick look. Each had an arrow right in the middle, or very close to it.
Aldamir saw his friend comment more her perfect shot to her, obviously flirting. He noticed his gaze, rather low if he tried to look in her eyes. He couldn't tell why, but he felt a little uncomfortable. He knew his friend, but wondered if she did. "Can I talk to her one second?" he said, hoping his friend would get the message and leave them, for a moment.

Laurë grinned once she finished every target that was in her sight. Looks like she didn’t lose it at all for she hit almost perfectly (if not, it was close to) every target from her spot. She didn’t think it would’ve made such a commotion but she didn’t mind it much; it sort of proved that women could be as talented as men in an art that was mainly reserved for the opposite gender. Not to add, that she just knew that Sorsha would be proud of her if she ever heard of this. It was fun; she would have to come back here more often.
She smirked at Aldamir’s friend as he seemed as impressed as everyone else around of her hidden talent. Some other men came to her asking her how she did that. “I have a good eye sight.” She simply said, which was true; she could see and hear better than any average human. Her elfin blood was the cause of course but no one needed to know. At least, for now and besides, it’s not as if she looked like an elf. Her ears were barely pointy and no one could notice it unless they gave them a close look.
Not to add that an arrow was given to her at the age of seven, first as a joke, but when they saw how talented she could be, they decided to train her not that she needed it that much. She blinked, however as she heard a familiar voice (and an annoying one at that). What was it? For once she was truly enjoying herself! Did he have to be annoying and come to her?! She still haven’t forgotten about what had happened the other night so she shot at him a small glare before grabbing the bow back, ready to shot another arrow to the men’s entertainment not listening to his friend’s praising anymore.

Laurë obviously wasn't in the mood to hear him at all. She even turned her back at him, ready to focus on archery instead of talking to him. But Aldamir insisted, staring at his friend to make him understand it was a private matter and that he didn't want him around. The guy hesitated a moment. After all, he was having fun and didn't appreciate being interrupted like this. But seeing that Aldamir had no intention of leaving them until he spoke with the girl, he sighed and gave them some room, for a minute, claiming he'd go get some water for himself.
Aldamir said nothing at first, following his friend with his gaze until he was far enough and then out of sight. He returned his attention to the girl, still making quite an effort into forgetting him. He made a step closer, making him stand by her side. No need to go in front of her in order to have her look at him, she might just be able to shoot him on the way, out of scorn. So he remained there by her side, yet still facing her on the way.
"I hope you know what you're doing." he told her, making sure his tone was not too loud so that no one else but them would hear. He didn't want people meddling in.

Laurë didn’t care much of the guy as he excused himself to go get some water; first, she wanted to train more and second, the nuisance of Aldamir’s presence was spoiling the mood sort of. She was still mad at how rude he had been to her the other time. Talk of a gentleman she thought sarcastically with a heavy sigh as she tried to keep the focus on her target. She never missed a shot and she would certainly not do such a thing when this one man in particular was around!
She prepared herself as she was about to shoot but soon lowered her arms and her bow and arrow as he spoke to her. She arched an eyebrow turning her head to look at him. “I don’t get fooled by men.” She simply told him before regaining her composure ready to shoot another arrow. She wasn’t stupid after all; she knew somehow that ever since she had gained some puberty men were flirting with her. Sometimes she played in the game, sometimes she just told them to screw away. She was a strong one and she knew how to wiggle her way around but apparently, he didn’t seem to think so.
Besides, why did he come to her in the first place? She thought he didn’t want to do anything with her. He was so annoying. She shot the arrow and it landed right in the middle of the target, no mistakes. Some men whistled at the perfect shot and she just took another one. Aldamir was lucky that she wasn’t all that pissed today, thanks to archery which brought her to a good mood or else she would just shoot him right now and there, without any remorse... well, maybe a little since he still was her friend’s brother, joy.
“Now if you excuse me,” She said while grabbing another arrow. She wasn’t going to let him spoil her mood, not again at least.

Laurë replied that she knew what she was doing. Aldamir was somehow pissed by her defiant attitude. Those country girls! Just because she managed not to get her legs uncrossed in her little hometown, she believed nothing of the kind would happen here. He bet even the mayor,s son was poor where she lived. But here, you don't start flirting so openly, especially with about any men coming right at you. It wasn't some game, she could get burned. Of course, that girl was too stubborn to believe anyone could force her to do anything.
She shot an arrow, and then another, hitting right on the spot. Bullseye, twice in a row. Yes, she was good. But in hand-in-hand combat, he doubted she could defeat any of those men, especially if they go hard on her. Of course, she refused to listen to him. The nerve of the woman. He grabbed her arm that pulled out the arrow.
"You think it's all a game? He's not gonna be satisfied of just some shameless flirting you know." he replied to her, lowering his tone even more as it became more urgent, a little more aggressive. He wanted to have her understand and he felt she did not. He released her arm quickly after that. "Don't go crying if he gets his way with you, whether you want it or not." he warned her before walking away without another glance at her. There, he warned her. People here didn't like being teased like this. Laurë was acting as if she'd like to be with him, she better be ready to 'be with him'. Although he was his friend, he knew he was not exactly the type that liked being shown everything and not have the right to touch it. If Laurë refused to see it, it wouldn't be his problem anymore, he warned her after all. She had to make things clear with him, for he was like Rabryn. But unlike his older brother, who wouldn't touch his little sister's friend if she wasn't interested, he could, or at least try to.

Laurë glared at Aldamir as he once again, grabbed her arm but this time, he picked the arrow out along with it. He kept thinking that she had some nerves; he wasn’t better. Didn’t he know that it wasn’t the ways of a gentleman to do something like this? “This isn’t very gentleman like to do something like this.” She pointed out trying as best as she could not to lose her temper. This man, thinking that he had every right on her and thinking that she was some idiot who didn’t know what she was doing. It certainly proved that he didn’t know much about her.
“First of all, I don’t think it’s a game.” She snarled at him once he released her arm and grabbed her arrow back. “I make myself very clear when things go too far. Don’t think that because I come from the country that I know nothing!” Why did he always have to come and warn her? Was it because of her first day? Sure she was taken aback but she quickly got used to the live of the town. Geez, she wasn’t as stupid as she could look into his eyes. Besides, if his friend tried anything to her, she would give him a warning with an arrow.
Why couldn’t she just enjoy herself one day without him popping around to ruin it? She glared at the next target, raging silently before shooting it again.

Aldamir saw her shoot another arrow and hit the target perfectly. He stopped a moment, thinking about what she said and decided to turn around and explain his point a little better so she'd print it perfectly. But as he was about to do so, he stopped once again. Why was he even bothering!? She couldn't care less about what he had to say. So what if he was not a gentleman, he never pretended to be one. You had to be rude sometimes if you wanted things to go the right way. And had he been a real gentleman she never would have listened. Anyway, it wasn't as if she acted like a lady herself. Talking back, looking at everyone as if no one could take on her, as if she was better. She wasn't the grateful type, or the quiet, or the kind to do her things and not annoy anyone with it. She was a meddler, making fun of people and not even being polite herself.
He might have some pre-made ideas about countrymen, but she sure had some on city folks too. It wasn't because they dressed fancier that they didn't know how to fight. He bet citizens were more greedy and had even more ideas than those like her could ever imagine to get what they wanted. She refused to see his point that she was dangerously playing across the limits, that would be her problem.
He rolled his eyes as his friend returned to her, talking about her skills in archery obviously. Had his sister knew a womanizer was turning around her friend, she certainly would have asked her brothers to do something. Well, he did something. Now if things were to go wrong, that would be her fault for not listening when someone is giving her a piece of advice.

Laurë didn’t like the idea of being near Aldamir anymore longer, even his friend’s praising was becoming annoying. “Look, I’m not in the mood and never will be.” She muttered her breath to his friend’s disappointment. Why did the man always have to come and taunt her? It’s not like anything bad would’ve happened to her here! She was simply practicing archery, a sport she liked very much. She didn’t care if it didn’t make her look like a lady much. Besides being around so many people she didn’t think that anything of the sort could happen to her. There, she made it clear perhaps it would shut Aldamir’s annoying mouth.
At that, she left his friend there going to other targets not wanting to meld in with anyone. His friend didn’t seem to understand what was going on at first but soon he apparently understood that it was because of the little chat that she had with Aldamir. Whom just received another glare from the girl before she returned to her practice.
She wished that there would’ve have some secured woods around there; it would be much calmer than hanging around those men who were starting to get on her nerves!

His friend came to him, hoping to have an explanation about what happened. One moment, she was all smile and flirtatious, the next she pushed him away and left. Aldamir, however, had not much to say to him. "She never listens to me anyway." was the only thing he had to say. He coudln't believe she actually did that because of what he said. He probably just pissed her off to the point she wished not to see anyone. After all, she was leaving to another side of the ground, with other targets.
Everyone didn't know exactly how to react about it. They wondered what was going on with thsoe three. Aldamir was usually rather polite with women, not flirtatious or charming, but polite. Still, this girl was different. That girl was a brat. His friend proposed to practice some swordfighting with Aldamir and since that was the reason of his visit here in the first place, he accepted.
They started rather well, without any problem, until the other guard started to hit harder and harder. "Watch out, you nearly chop my arm off!" Aldamir said, caught off guard by the sudden change of attitude in his friend. But the guy was pissed too. He thought he had a chance there with the girl and felt like Aldamir blew it away. As he expressed his point of view, Aldamir decided to reply with the same strength during the training. This time, it was him who was caught off guard and his sword went flying. He approached his opponent. "I don't care if you want to mess around with my sister's friends but don't go blame me if a girl says no to you." he almsot shouted at him. Now, he was angry and tired of everyone, this place, and especially Laurë who was nothing but trouble. He threw hsi sword to the ground and turned away, decided to elave this palce and take a long walk in order to calm his nerve. He knew his friend would forget about it all in due time, it wasn't the first fight they were having. That was the consequence of having so different personalities. But for now, he was mad at him and at the world and didn't want to see anyone.
