Arien smiled as Keann answered to her however she still frowned a little. What was it? He seemed to be even shier than usual! Did it embarrass him so much to the point of killing his pride? She knew now that it had to do about the ball but honestly, he didn’t need to be sorry one bit! Her gaze softened as she looked at him. “You’re worrying because of the ball right?” She asked him. After all, before telling him anything else, she wanted to make sure that she was right.
She waited patiently for him to answer to her question, not wanting to rush him but still curious about what he would answer to her words. Arien always considered Keann to be a close friend of hers and she couldn’t deny the feelings she had for him she was glad that his cousin brought him here so they could finally sort things out. She wanted their relationship to be like it used to be before; she didn’t want him to avoid her like he did.
Laurë on the other hand, remained quiet, leaving them the time to speak. Of course, she listened bits of their conversation curious about what was going on between her cousin and the girl of his dream as Arien appeared to be. She continued to gaze at the dresses, she was surely becoming eager to work in the shop with the woman!

His breath got caught up in his chest as she mentioned the ball. It was really ahrd for him but he still nodded to her. The days after it happened, he tried to recall what he did during that night. He recalled coming with Arien at his arm, talking with Faeldor and Gilwen. He saw the Steward's elder son Boromir and his young cousin. And that giant knight friend of Gilwen. And, of course, Durion. He never really met the man before but a quick glance had him understand he was not the msot like among their little circle. Both Faeldor and Dervorin seemed to hold a grudge. But either Durion had no idea or he didn't care one bit about it. He spent his night flirting here and there, including with Arien. Even if she didn't encourage him nor did she looked pleased by his attention, it affected Keann. And he started to drink.
He wasn't a good dancer so he did not dance with Arien. Instead he watched everyone around and kept drinking not certain what to do. He supposed he should have come next to Arien and bring her away from the knight but it was just so not like him to come and take his place like this. He believed he did it though, after drinking too much. What he could have said to him however is too vague for him to recall.
Even now, he wasn't certain what happened between the moment he went to Arien and Durion adn the time he was carried out of the castle. If he could barely walk, he supposed Durion beat the crap out of him. He recalled some fist flying in the air, but he could not tell whose fist it was or where it landed.
And now, he was standing there by Arien's side, shameful for something he didn't even know he did, if he did something. Well, he sure felt sorry for drinking in front of her and makign a fool of himself. And throwing up before her thansk to it. "I'm sorry for my behavior there." he replied, still in a whisper.

Arien couldn’t help but smile, touché, she knew it was this. She needed to do something not to feel bad about it. If she didn’t restrain herself, she would’ve giggled but she knew it would only get Keann more embarrassed than he already was. “You don’t need to be sorry about anything Keann.” She mused looking at him with bright eyes. She leaned closer to him, looking at his eyes with a bright smile.
“It was actually cute...” she mused her smile turning into a wide grin and soon, her lips brushed against his softly but not for too long to let him cope. “I hope it makes you feel better.” She added with a small laugh restraining herself from hugging him like a plushie, for, that’s what he looked like to her at the right moment. She just hoped she didn’t push boundaries knowing that his cousin was around.
Speaking of Laurë, she certainly didn’t miss anything of what was going on. She even let out a few silent giggles at the show that was given to her. That was just so priceless; she would have to tell everything to Jossian! Knowing that he seemed to be worrying about his son’s love life, he would surely love what she had assisted to. Of course...she did her best not to be loud and tried to concentrate back to the dresses.

Even if she told him he had nothing to be sorry for, he was. It was just in his nature to be. Suddenly, she moved to face him and force him to look at her. He could see her deep brown eyes with a light on them, and her large smile. He looked back at her without making a move. Apparently, he did nothing towards her, at least not too cruel.
He frowned though when she mentioned it was cute. He had no idea what was cute but now he wondered if he did nto kiss her or something. He sure hoped she did not say it only to calm him. He held his breath, frezzing there when he felt her lips so close to his. She almsot kissed him but pulled back at the last moment, before applying more pressure against his lips.
He breathed with difficulty for a moment, panting some. He never was this close of her ever and his cousin was right next to them, maybe watching them at the moment. For a moment, he felt her lips, almsot tasted them. He blushed at the thought. Yes, he almost kissed her, well she almost kissed him to be exact. "I-i-i shouldn't have drink, I can't stand alcohol. I'm sorry I did and Fael had to bring me back home." he replied, aplogizing only for the things he remembered since he couldn't tell what else happened. "Oh and.. hum... for getting sick in front of you."

Arien smiled and giggled shaking her head. “Don’t worry, it’s all forgotten now. But please, come and visit me more often, you know that the shop is always open for you.” She added with a grin still printed onto her lips as she rested both of her hands on her hips. After all, he was the person she cared the most about and it was normal for her to want to see him more than just for a few hours. She took a mental note that she would need to take a day off once so she could spend more time with him than just an hour.
“Just don’t worry about it anymore okay? You’re tormenting yourself when you do that and it’s not healthy!” She added while glancing at his cousin to see what she was doing right now. “You are right, an apprentice will be very helpful, I am glad you thought about me while bringing her here.” She mused giving him, this time, a peck on the cheek.
While they seemed to be done, Laurë returned to both of them, with a wide grin. “This shop is lovely miss; I can’t wait to work for you! I am sure to learn many things!” She added eagerly as she returned by her cousin’s side.
Arien smiled and nodded at the girl. “I am glad that you are pleased by the offer.” She answered. “Now, go rest you two, Keann, don’t over work, you seemed tired.” She pointed out glancing at him.

Keann was used of Arien laughing at his manners sometimes. She was so outspoken while he was the shiest person on earth. And overthinking too much for his own good. But Arien always appeased fears he shame he could have by laughing it off. Apparently, he still managed to amaze him to how much he freaked out on a matter. He gave her a small, sheepish smile to show he'll try to shrug it off of his mind. He still had no idea what happened but it mustn't have been that terrible for her to react like this. Still, he felt like giving her a little something to apologize in the form would be a good idea. Maybe a necklace, or some more exotic food that cost a lot more than what you'd usually pay. Something like this, to show he wanted to forget about it and was sorry of whatever he did.
His smile grew a little wider - but only a little - when she said it was a good idea he had to propose her an apprentice. He passed under silence the fact he had been forced into it by his father. He was just glad she'd finally work a little less hard liek he kept telling her to do. He had his father to help him, when his eyes were good and his hansd were not hurting him. Plus if he could not creaft, he could still sell and present the finished jewels to the clients. She was doing all of this by herself.
Arien kind of dismissed them, telling them to get some rest. Keann wished she had told him what happened in more details but he believed she might not have the time to do so now. He nodded and wlaked to the door. He held it for Laurë to pass and turned toward Arien before leaving. "You should rest too, don't work all night." he said as a goodbye before leaving her shop and walking back home with Laurë.
