Keann looked down at the plates as she said he should stand up for himself. He felt his cheeks blush some. She said he was one of the best she's ever seen. Of course, he had to stand up for himself, how many times had she told him! But it was easier said than done. Keann just couldn't help apologizing and letting people abuse of him. He didn't like confrontation and fights and so felt giving in was just the best way to avoid it.
He could hear Arien order pork on her usual tone. He blushed some more at her joke but a small smile appeared on his lips, showing he understood it was said for fun. "I, I thought I spoke loud enough." he said to her. He simply forgot they were in a tavern and therefor there was much more noise then outside or in his shop. He allowed himself to look up at her. He simply stared at her for a moment having actually nothing to say. He knew he was able to just eat with her, look at her and walk alongside her without having to talk, she was the one who needed to.
The girl arrived with their plates shortly after. Keann stopped gazing at his friend and took his fork to start eating quietly.

Arien knew that even if he was a shy poke, she knew that he could stand for himself…though, she hadn’t seen this day just yet. Who knows, maybe it would happen sooner than she thought it would and this, would make her happy. She smiled over to her friend, noticing his blush. She didn’t know why, but he always seemed to be blushing when he was around her, more than when he is with other people. There were times where she didn’t get the reason of why he was doing so…in the end, she decided to figure out that it was probably because he was being shy. Who knows.
She shook her head at Keann’s words, though smiling at him still. Ah, will he ever change? Probably no, but she liked him the way he was… in a friendly way of course. Now there, don’t get her wrong; she had no crush on the boy who was eating dinner along with her. “Don’t you think that she wouldn’t have made you repeat your order that often if you would’ve spoken loud enough?” she asked him, arching an eyebrow.
The waitress soon came to give them their plates. She smiled still, inhaling the smell of the food. It really looked yummy. Fairly better than what she could cook. She could cook some stuff, but wasn’t an expert with food. She worked better with dresses anyways. Besides, she could always ask Gilwen some tricks when she would see her. It could be fun. Zoning the time they had been waiting for food, she didn’t realize that Keann had been staring at her the whole time she got distracted. It didn’t take her much time before she turned her attention to her food, beginning to eat silently as well, unsure of what they should talk about, if they ever should talk.

Keeping his head low, Keann stared at Arien after her statement. She was right, the lady wouldn't have to make him repeat had she heard him the first place. He made a sorry smile but said nothing. After all, there was not that much to add to it. As the food arrived Keann also watched Arien's reaction. He once tasted her food and qualified it of 'edible'. Sure you could eat it but it wasn't the best stuff. Come to think of it his mother couldn't cook either. It made him wonder if ladies knew how to in the end.
Keann enjoyed the meal, not minding the fact they were not talking. He didn't need words. He managed to get her out of her shop. Actually, she came to him. That thought made him stop eating to stare at her, his fork between his plate and his mouth. He looked at the girl in front of him. She came... Why? Usually he was the one coming. She certainly decided to head this way, that must have been it. But she always was saying such sweet things to him, taking his defense and all, why was it so weird she could have decided to come to see him? Probably because she bumped into him, yeah...
Now Keann was wondering why Arien was wasting so much time on him. He knew why he was, she was the closest to a friend he ever had of his life. But her, sociable as she was, she certainly had tons of friends. So why passing so much time with him?
He didn't realized it was weird for him to be like that, staring at her, his open partially opened, the fork in midair. He shook his head quickly as he noticed before clearing his throat. "I really hope I haven't changed your plans for tonight much." he said softly, looking down at his plate before stuffing food in his mouth. Like this, he wouldn't be able to say stupid things.

Arien ate silently the plate that had been given to her previously. She didn’t have much to tell him, after all, they were seeing each other like everyday for their own shops and all. At times they would find the time to talk with one and an other while doing so, asking each other what was new with them and all. They were really close now that you thought about it. It was odd for her that she had decided to come to Keann this time while he was the one who usually got her out by force of the shop to take some time and relax.
Maybe she knew she would end up sick if she kept up on that pace. Ahh well, she would have to thank him later for carrying so much about her. He was such a sweetheart to her, which made her wonder about if he was like that to anyone else. Sure he was nice and all, even let some people abuse of him which she didn’t appreciate at all. She blinked, getting lost into her thoughts.
"I really hope I haven't changed your plans for tonight much." Uh? Why would he think he was changing her plans? She didn’t have anything to do for the rest of the evening so he didn’t have to worry about that. At times, she thought he was carrying too much about her. “Nah, don’t you worry about that, you didn’t change any of my plans, besides, it’s been a while since we had had the time to relax together like that.” She added with a smile.

“Nah, don’t you worry about that, you didn’t change any of my plans, besides, it’s been a while since we had had the time to relax together like that.” Keann blushed some as she told him that. So she was enjoying those moments. At times, he was wondering if he wasn't going a little bit too far. But apparently not. He wasn't sure how he should take it. Was she enjoying her time with him because she was out of her shop finally relaxing or because she was relaxing... with him. That thought made him gulp. He had to admit, he was rather close to her. Very close indeed. And she was dear to him. Very dear. But he had no idea how to show it to her.
The silence returned and it made him uneasy. Too many chances to think about possible feelings and possible ways to express them. He cleared his throat after taking a bit of food. He didn't know what to say and it made him nervous. To make it pass away, he drank his beer. "Has it been busy lately?" he asked, talking of her shop.

Arien tilted her head and stared at Keann clueless about what his feelings might be for her. After all, with all the time she had spent around him, she was used to see him shy, blushing and stuttering. She thought he would be like that around everyone, for he was known to be shy, well except maybe when he was working. It was funny to see how different he could be while working from while being well…his usual shy and stuttering clumsy self. She wasn’t bothered by it at all though, finding it sort of cute for him. Sure it would be awkward if every men were like that but that side of Keann’s personality made him be him. She wouldn’t want him to change…well maybe gain a little guts wouldn’t hurt though.
She stared at him, and smiled though smirked a little at the though of seeing a manly Keann. It might be interesting and sort of funny to see him acting that way. She would like to see that at least once in her life. It might be quite odd and entertaining. She sipped on her drink and continued eating the food that was on her plate.
"Has it been busy lately?" She swallowed before actually talking to him. “Half, at times there’s a lot of customers but at other times it’s quiet. I don’t mind, it gives me time to finish the dresses that have been ordered to me. What about you?” she asked back.
